Who is the best pick-up at RB?

Postby Guest » Tue Dec 03, 2002 12:36 pm

My playoff chances are shot :~( but I'm not willing to give up :-D ! I had Lamar Smith and dropped him. A-train is out for the season as well so that leaves two openings.

I'm looking to pick up either Leon Johnson (Bears) or Dee Brown (Panthers). Who is the better option?

Please help me in my quest to play the spoiler ;-D

Try to get them both if you can, because this week should give us a better idea on them. Leon will be getting the carries this week, so we'll see how he handles that role, and we can also see if Dee can add to the good game he had last week. I picked them both up on my team, even though I didn't need anymore runningbacks just so nobody else can get them. If it's at the expense of a receiver you'll never use, then it's worth it. Starting runningbacks are good to have. If you can only afford to have one, then I'd guess on Leon, but that opinion could easily change after this week.

Leon Johnson.
Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalized for too many men on the field?

I don't know much about either one, but if Leon Johnson does play for Chicago he will be going up against a very good Miami D, when they play at home. On the other hand you have Brown who will be playing the Bungles at home. I don't know if Brown is a fullback, or if he is a situational back or what, but if he is the starter and the feature back I would go with him simply because he's at home against the Bungles. If Carolina can put back to back wins together it is against Clevenland and Cincy.(No offense Duke ;-D ) To quote GP (for the 100th time or so) "you have to go with your gutt feeling." Good Luck!!

None taken Rook. I'm a fan, but I'm not oblivious to the truth. ;-D
I agree, that if your looking for the best play of the two for this upcoming week, then Dee (former slam dunk champion) Brown would be the play vs. the Bengals. (yeah, I know it's not the same guy).

I have to agree with the lil striped fella there...Brown looks to be a good pickup. He ran well against Cleveland (i know, its not sayin much), but he looks to be a nice replacement for the drunk..umm..i mean Smith. That's who I would pick up!

I would go with L. Johnson 4 the rest oft he year becuz of Chi. willingness to run the ball, + he returns kicks.

I'm not cerain of this, but I would venture to say that if he's now going to get load of carries on offense, he won't be returning kicks anymore.
