Is Jamaal Charles worth a 1st round draft pick even with coming back from a torn ACL?
There is an owner in my league looking to trade him and he wants a 1st round draft pick for him. We are in a PPR league, get to have 5 keepers. my players are as follows: QB - Tim Tebow WR - Wes Welker WR - Brandon Marshall WR - Mike Wallace RB - Shonne Greene RB - Khali Bell TE - Tony Gonzalez Flex - Demarious Thomas BN - Beanie Wells BN - LeGarret Blount BN - Laurent Robinson
As of right now my keepers are: 1 - Welker 2 - Wallace 3 - Marshall The next two spots are open to variations based on what happens like Bell or Greene, Tebow is an option also since he runs enough to make up for his lack of passing but I also think a few offseason of working with Elway will help him. This is also why I was looking around for trades and thought about Charles just not sure if he is worth that draft pick. With this team this year I came in 4th in my league.

First off, I would keep: Marshall Welker Wallace Wells Greene
and I would trade my first round pick for Charles... in reality, it's your 6th round pick when you include your keepers. Any RB coming off major injury is a risk, but at least Charles was hurt very early in 2011, meaning he has a better chance than AP or Mendenhall of being ready to go in Week 1. Unless you have a top-3 pick, I would pull the trigger on this deal. If you have a top-3 pick I would use that on one of the 2012 rookies.

I wouldn't be able to keep all of them as I would have to include Charles as one of my five keepers and wouldn't have a first round pick, which is 6th.

That part in large bold letters is EXACTLY why I would do it. A 6th round pick for Charles, and then keep Welker, Marshall, Wallace, Wells and Charles, without a doubt I gamble on that deal.
