I started a league with some friends last year on ESPN FF. I left all the settings to the default.
1. I see by default that each team has the same players as last year. Is this standard practice for fantasy football? Is each team responsible for dropping players before the draft to make room for new players? If I wanted to wipe all teams, is there a setting for this (I havent found it)
2. A couple of owners last year complained about the Waiver setting. I currently have it set to the settings below. What is the most common setting for this?
Lineup Changes
Lock Individually at Scheduled Gametime
Player Acquisition System
Waivers
Season Acquisition Limit
No Limit
Waiver Period
1 Day
Waiver Order
Resets each week to inverse order of standings

I'm not really sure how the ESPN system works. However, I'd just start a whole new league so you don't have to bother with figuring out a continued league.
As far as the waiver system, what were the complaints exactly? I know a lot of people prefer a first come first serve free agent system as opposed to waivers, but I'm just taking a shot in the dark. What other setting are available?

Those seem like pretty standard settings IMO.

I ALWAYS have a waiver wire in my leagues. If it's a competitive league, I prefer a rolling waiver wire... Why should the guy in 1st place lose his waiver privilege simply because he is in first place?
