That article really put me up in the air from picks 4 - 6. Is Mathews really worth the pick at 4? All the stats say he is and the situation seems to be perfect for him to succeed in.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

Philip Rivers and the Chargers coaching staff "clearly" has confidence in Ryan Mathews as a receiver out of the backfield.
Mathews showed excellent hands and vision in the screen game last season, hauling in 50 passes for 455 yards. Now that Mike Tolbert (54 catches) is in Carolina, there's plenty of room for Mathews to take another leap in the receiving department. Anything less than 60-65 catches would be a surprise.
