I wouldn't give up Mathews for him at this time.

I don't like Matthews like everyone else does, so I'd much rather take Stafford to the bank.

Id rather have Mathews in your situation. I agree he might be a little overrated (had him last year), but he should have an expanded role in a good offense and is still a young player.
The only reasons the AP trade made sense-he's aging and coming off an injury.

I'm on the Matthews 'dud' train, but I think you have to risk him in your position -- and turn down the counter offer.
