WR (start 2, 1 flex RB/WR) Roddy White Hakeem Nicks Jordy Nelson Victor Cruz DHB
TE Gates Davis (threw out all my IDPs at end of season for extra potential offensive keepers)
I have some sick players, but....look at ADP's health, Bradshaw's foot problems, Peyton's, Schaub (can he bounce back?), White (will Jones surpass him as #1), Nicks (can he stay healthy?) Nelson/Cruz (both were studs last year....), DHB (definite upside here), Charles (his issues)
I have a sick team but a sick team of issues.
It is a 2 QB league so that will weigh into my decision.
I'm considering right now: Romo, Schaub/Peyton, Nicks, Cruz, Nelson, White, ADP, Charles and throwing both my stud TEs back and the rest of my iffy RBs and QBs.
I keep Peyton, Romo, AP, Charles, Murray, Cruz, Nicks, White and reluctantly throw back Schaub, Nelson, and Gates. I guess you can't do any trades? You should be looking to move 2-3 of those guys for draft picks or better studs imo.
10 Team PPR predraft QB- Aaron Rodgers RB- Doug Martin, Marshawn Lynch WR- Percy Harvin, Jordy Nelson (Michael Crabtree IR) TE- Jimmy Graham LB- James Laurinaitis DL- Corey Liuget DB- Harrison Smith
You start 2 QBs : Keep Romo and Schaub (more weapons), ADP, Murray, Nicks, Cruz, Gates, and Davis. I would take these eight guys anytime. Actually, I have and won with them.
Romo Peyton AP Murray Charles White are 6 locks to me.
Even if Jones passes White as the top guy in ATL, which I don't think happens for another couple years, Jones put up great numbers as the WR2 there where it wouldn't matter to me.
Then you got 2 spots left, but 3 great WRs and 2 Stud TEs
If you can trade, then try and move players for a better QB that doesn't have the injury issues that both Romo and Peyton have. Or try and get a top TE like Gronk/Graham, or someone like Megatron or another top WR, or a safer RB (all 3 of yours have inury issues). You get the idea, you have 5 guys who are all worthy of being kept, but can only keep 2, so use them to help you. Or hell, trade off the rest to guys for more picks. They can guarantee a top WR/TE and give you a draft pick that they might have to use on someone not as good.
If you can't do any type of trading or aquiring more talent/picks, then I say Nelson (no he won't reach that remarkable TD number from last year, but being second WR in the GB offense is very good. I feel many people are getting the TD argument stuck in their head and letting him pass by. Believe me, he will still be good.) and Nicks. Yes Cruz was better last year, but Nicks was coming off a year of 1000 yds and 11 TDs, so he was the focus of all Ds while Cruz snuck up on everybody. In the playoffs, Nicks was the much better player and was targeted much more, which shows either one or both of 2 things:
Manning trusts Nicks more. Ds attend to Cruz more, leaving Nicks more open.
Either way, that is good for Nicks. Because he has preformed at a high level before, I trust him more. I don't like to have both top WRs from a team anyways, but if you didnt have Nelson then I would keep both Giants.
So to recap:
Trade from Nelson/Nicks/Cruz/Gates/Davis is possible
Keep Romo/Manning/AP/Charles/Murray/White/Nelson/Nicks if you can't trade.
Even Roddy himself admits his production will be lesser this year. JJ will be a focal point in the offense. I know Jordy is always a convenient deep threat. If it was one of my many squads, I'd say Nelson by a thin hair.
