Ryan Mathews Value and 2 questions

I have 2 CBS H2H teams 1st team had the 7th pick and the 2nd team had the 6th pick. Mathews fell to me in both drafts but I am always concerned with having the same guy on 2 teams. The same can be said of Newton but I'm really sold on him so I am not thinking about trying to trade him. If Mathews gets hurt I have some backups but would like to trade him in one of my leagues.

Who could I potentially get in return for Mathews?
and
Should I even be thinking about trading him?

I would look for a top 10 back, McFadden, Charles, Forte, Murray, C. Johnson, T-Rich and a WR2 or WR3 depending which running back you get in return.

Granted there is risk with him, but outside of the top 3, there's risk with everyone. I'm all in on him, I'd stay put since I think he'll pay off big time. Unless you find someone who feels the same way that I do about him, you wont get fair value for him.

I don't think I would trade him unless I got a really good offer. I think he'll be a top 5 RB this year, and I don't see you getting fair value in terms of upside unless its with someone who also loves Mathews. Its not as if either team has really good depth at RB, all your other RBs have some sort of question. Unless you got a rock solid RB or 2 with a good backup QB or bench WR, I wouldn't move him. I think Newton will miss at least 2 games this year, so I'd look for a solid backup

I would hang onto mathews. if he stays healthy, he could be the top Rb this year. he is going to get a heavy workload and there is nobody there to steal any carries

I would look for a top 10 back, McFadden, Charles, Forte, Murray, C. Johnson, T-Rich and a WR2 or WR3 depending which running back you get in return.

Like Stever said, If you want to hedge bets by moving Mathews in one league, then you still need to treat him as a top-4 RB, and sell high. He's good enough that you don't need to move him just for the sake of it.
