Okay so I'm up in a slow draft, and I don't really like who is available to me. Also IDPs. Scoring:
PPR, ALL TDs 6pts
Passing Yards 20 yards per point; 5 points at 300 yards; 7 points at 350 yards; 10 points at 400 yards Interceptions -3 Rushing Yards 10 yards per point; 5 points at 100 yards; 7 points at 150 yards; 10 points at 200 yards Reception Yards 10 yards per point; 5 points at 100 yards; 7 points at 150 yards; 10 points at 200 yards Return Yards 20 yards per point
on team D its all standard except for every 150 return yards is 1 point
My team: (* by kept players, could only keep 1 per pos) QB-Cutler* RB-Charles* RB-Fred Jackson WR-Percy Harvin WR-Steve Smith* TE-Jimmy Graham* W/R- blank K- blank D/ST- blank D- JPP* D- blank DB- blank DB- blank LB- blank
The best guys at each position. Matt Ryan just got drafted or I woulda taken him.
QBs Schaub Palmer Freeman Fitzpatrick Luck
RBs Starks BJGE Spiller J Stew McGahee
WRs Britt Decker Wayne Cobb Holmes Garcon Cribbs
TEs Gates F Davis Pettigrew
D/ST Ravens Seahawks Lions
DBs Peterson (Return yards make him the best DB) L Webb T Thomas E Weddle T Polomalu
LBs J Anderson R Lewis J Laurinaitis C Lofton S Witherspoon N Barnett
I'm not really crazy about any of the guys here. I feel that there isn't really difference in the remaining QBs so I can keep letting them slide. I don't like Britt cuz he's such a big risk, I'm honestly leaning towards either like a Spiller or getting Peterson. Any ideas?
But is it just me... or have there been a few odd reaches? Like if you had picked Beanie Wells right now with all those others available. Or if you go with one of those WRs near the end of your list, with better options at WR and other positions up for grabs.
Well, since you did give me a little help on mine. I would agree with you on your QB philosophy. After Ryan got picked, there's junk left. Fitzpatrick or Luck might actually be the best options left at that position. >_>;
I think I'd take the gamble on Eric Decker here. Tempted to say Peterson because I play in an IDP league with return yards and I know how dominant he was, but I think I'd wait another round there.
thanks for your help; in return: out of all the O players you listed, I like Spiller or Starks & maybe Palmer as your back-up QB. If you don't think it's too early to go D, I agree w/Peterson, or RLewis (still has lots of tackles in him).....or the Ravens D.
I like Decker too... I think he is gonna be Welker this year with Manning pulling the trigger.. Thanks for the help with mine.
Start- 1QB,2WR,2RB,1Flex,1K,1DEF Standard Scoring, except bonus points for long plays and defense which is 10 pts for a TD, 3 pts for a sk, int or fum rec. 8 team keeper league
My biggest issue is that none of these guys really stand out. I inherited the team, and keeper trades are allowed predraft, so I'm trying to look forward and draft guys who I can use to trade as keepers next year and get more picks. If Britt wasn't such a concern then I'd take him. Tough call. I think next round I'll start looking D, I want Peterson and Lewis.
Green-Ellis, because he will fill the Benson role of being the dull Bengals RB who finishes the season with 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns. It won't be flashy, or have style points, and you will be shocked at the FFL points total at season's end.
I don't do IDP, but I can see how Patrick Peterson's return yards are hard to ignore.
I was considering BJGE, I just didn't know if I was crazy or the only one for thinking exactly what everyone else has confirmed. He seems to be so undervalued this year, I wasn't sure about him. Im thinking I'll take him, then next round get Peterson, because nobody else really excites me. I have a good feeling about Cobb this year, I think he'll win the WR3 job by the end of the year, and I bet I can get him late. Really sucks because I was ready to take Ryan, but then he got picked RIGHT before me.
Both BJGE and Freddy have bye week 8, should that change my decision?
As far as QBs go, I don't like Schaub, he used to be top 10 but with all the attention on the running game I don't see him getting up there anymore. I think Palmer/Luck are my best options as a backup, I think I'll just wait on that spot until it feels like they are all gonna go or no better options at other spots. I like thinking about getting Fleener late as well.
