My plan was to keep Ray Rice in round 1, Wes Welker in round 4, and Eli Manning in round 13.
The way our draft works, is last place picks their keepers and draft spot first, and so on.
I am in a position where I can get the 3rd overall pick if I DONT keep Ray Rice, and i can keep Kevin Smith in Round 16 instead.
Arian Foster, Leshawn McCoy and Ray Rice would then all be available as foster and McCoy are not elidgable to be kept this year. So, I can either Keep Ray Rice, or keep Kevin Smith late and assume that those 3 backs are interchangable as I will get one of those 3.
I am leaving towards keeping kevin smith and taking whichever of those 3 I can get at the 3rd pick.
I think I would keep Smith as well. Rice is my #3 anyway and you get the bonus of Smith who is looking like he will be a part of the lions offense this year.
I think that is a great idea, because by keeping Smith and if you get a top 3 RB, that's better than using your first round to keep a player. If what you say is true and McCoy and Foster are ineligible to be kept, then you are able to get Ray Rice (or Foster/McCoy) and also have a RB3 who has really great upside if he is able to stay healthy
