ESPN's John Clayton backs up an NFL Network report that WR Steve Smith appears to be on the "verge of a rebirth" in St. Louis.
All reports on Smith have been positive since he "came on strong" over the final two weeks of offseason practices. Nearly two years removed from a complex microfracture knee procedure, Smith has been the Rams' early-camp "surprise," showing "more speed than anticipated."
