League Fee for the inaugural year will be $250 per team ($200 for season pool and $50 deposit for next year's season). We will have a vote to decide whether or not to raise the annual fee starting next
year once a few weeks have been played. This league will be using LeagueSafe to house the fees. Payouts will occur promptly after the final game of the season (conclusion of Week 16). Each draft will be
an online auction draft.
The draft pool will consists of the previous year's Free Agents, the incoming rookie class, and those players not kept from last year's rosters. The cost to keep a player on your roster so they will not be
thrown back into the draft pool is $3.
Trades will be handled by Commissioner review and a 24-hour window will occur after the commissioner's ruling (posted on league message board) for owners to protest if they so desire (via the message
board). If the commissioner is not involved in the proposed trade, 5 protests are needed to overrule. If the commissioner is involved in the trade, only 4 protests are needed to overrule. This process is
uniform whether the commissioner approves or rejects a trade.
Trades can involve players and/or auction dollars for the following season's draft. Each team has $10 of its $200 auction money to do with as they please. That means a team can not go into next year's auction
draft with less than $190.
The trade deadline for this season will be 12:00 A.M. CST November 7, 2012 (Midnight that Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning).
Two divisions of 5 teams each. This first year the divisions will be determined randomly before the draft. Also, the two divisions allow us to enact a relegation system, which I believe will promote competition within the league. Quite simply (following the first year, of course), one division will be comprised of the money winners (3 payouts), then the two division winners (if none of them finished in the money), and then the
team(s) with the best records from the previous year until the division is comprised of five teams (total points scored will be tie-breaker if identical record is held). All remaining teams will be put in the second division.
This means the stronger teams will have tougher schedules just like they do in the NFL.
Payout will be 60-30-10, with the championship winner getting 60%, championship loser getting 30%, and consolation game winner getting 10%.
Collusion will not be tolerated. The commissioner reserves the right to perform any action against those that stoop to such a level.
Payment is expected by the determined deadline (one week after league fills) BEFORE the draft takes place. We will not conduct the draft until all owners have paid.
