Keepers - Julio or Charles

Postby kernstl » Sun Aug 12, 2012 12:02 pm

10 team league- 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, 2 Flex, K, DST. $100 cap.

Need to keep 4:
Matt Stafford - $5
Calvin Johnson- $13.50
DeMarco Murray- $5
Jamaal Charles- $16.50
Julio Jones- $5.50

I'm having a tough time deciding between Julio Jones, DeMarco Murray, and Jamaal Charles- I like Julio's value, but RB is such a thin position (especially since many of the top RB's will be kept by other teams). Thoughts?

I think the guy you drop from those 5 is Jamaal Charles. He's 3 times more expensive than Julio and Demarco, and Demarco is a top 10 RB barring injury and Julio is a stud WR in his own right. It's tough because you can start 4 RBs but Jamaal shouldn't be costing more than Megatron. You'll have 2 stud WRs and have plenty of cash to blow on RBs. You can probably buy back Charles in the auction if you want him again. There's no way you'll be able to get the others on your team for less than $6 again. Gotta go with the value here.

Johnson for sure. Then maybe Jones, but Staffordmight be good assuming he’s still healthy and he can find a receiver who isn’t in trouble with the league due to arrests. Let somebody else take the risk of Murray and Charles is rather pricey.
