Keeping 3

Postby Chrischm » Sun Aug 12, 2012 7:39 pm

Hello all,

I am in a keeper league (keep up to 3 players) they affect your first three draft picks.

So if I keep 3, my first pick would essientally be in the fourth round.

Our current play format is
1QB
2RB
2WR
1TE
1RB/WR/TE
1K
1D/ST

Normal scoring NFL league. 1 point per 10 years received/rushed
6 Points for Received/Rushed TD
4 Points for Thrown TD

My Team

QB
Tony Romo
Eli Manning

RB
Marshawn Lynch
Matt Forte
Jammal Charles

WR
Hakeem Nicks
Laurent Robinson
Brandon Marshall
Antonio Brown

TE
Owen Daniels

My question:

Should I keep my 3 Running Backs?

Other players that are going to be guaranteed kept in my league by other players:

QB
Matt Stafford
Michael Vick
Cam Newton
Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees
Tom Brady

RB
A. Foster
Ray Rice
Chris Johnson or Frank Gore
MJD
McFadden
L. McCoy
R. Mendenhall

WR
G. Jennings
Wes Welker
Victor Cruz (Possible)
Calvin Johnson

TE
J. Graham
Rob Gronkowski

I'm thinking keeping 3 top20 running backs would be much better than keeping 2 RB and 1WR.

Thanks,
Chrischm

I would probably keep your 3 RBs. The only other close to being worth a pick of the first 3 rounds would be Nicks, but it doesn't look like many WR's are being kept, so you should be able to draft decent ones there.

Help on mine?

What is your draft slot? Picking 1st in the 3rd rd. for example may change things...meaning you will pick last in the 4th.

4th draft pick. Snake rounds 4-16.

So keeping 3, I would start on 4th.

If I keep 2, I would draft 4th in the "third" round, and again 4th in the fourth round which then starts to snake.

I agree with the above. Keep the running backs.

I think I would keep the 3 RBs. At the very least I'd go with Charles and Lynch. When the "first" round comes along for you, there should be some great WRs that you can choose from to fill out your roster. I see guys like White, Fitz, Julio and Green all missing from that potential WR keeper list, I'd be happy to get any one of those guys on my team to anchor what seems to be a deep WR group this year.

I want to know who the hell is keeping Mendenhall???
