Getting Committed Owners Without Having Anyone Pay

I’m trying to get committed and enthusiastic owners into my league without asking anyone to join a pay league. Does anyone have suggestions regarding how I should go about that? I’m also looking for a modicum of maturity and civil behavior, any ideas on that?

It starts with having friends that are competitive in nature and really enjoy watching and following football. Having a little "fanatic" streak always helps. I've got a 12-teamer that is going on it's 3rd year with pretty much all the same people, and it isn't a pay league. It's a combination of all my friends. About half live in the same town as me, and the other half are old college friends that I don't see regularly anymore, but still connect with on Facebook, etc. Good luck.

I could never figure this out either. It seems like the higher the pay league you're in, the more people care. Which would seem about right, as people have more money at stake.
