Who to keep, Eli or Kevin Smith, Whir

PPR League, standard scoring otherwise, Passing TDs 4 pts, rush/rec TDs 6 pts.

I can keep Eli as a round 13 QB, or Kevin Smith as a Round 16 (last round) RB.

My other keepers are Ray Rice (round 1), and Wes Welker (round 4)

Given the talent available after all keepers are out, the RB value in the mid rounds wont be there, so I will likely draft WRs in rounds 2, 3, and maybe even 5. I can proabbly get Matt Ryan around 7 or 8, RBs like wells, lynch, etc in mid rounds.

I originally was going to keep manning, but its looking more like Kevin Smith might be the guy in detroit, and after keepers, RBs will be hard to come by.

With the rumors of Best starting the season on PUP swirling, Smith is my pick

Eli as 13th is much better value. You get a top-10 QB who you will start every week for 13th round pick. Kevin Smith is going to get you 2 decent weeks, and once Leshoure returns from his suspension, it's a crap-shoot. Even if your reasoning is because you want to spend an early pick on a top-5 QB, you can afford to do it, because of the low investment in Eli.

Kevin Smith should be nothing more than depth help, and that's just not worth losing Eli.

Thanks for the help with mine.
I agree with the above, keep Manning. A top 10 QB for a 13th rd pick...Nicks and Cruz are poised to have 1000 yd seasons.
If you can grab Lynch as a RB2, you'll be in good shape. I would just make sure to hammer out those WRs once you get your RBs squared away. Welker is money in PPR but, he's not going to get you TDs.

Good luck!

Manning is a decent QB1. Valuable.

Smith has several questions.

1. Will Best go on PUP and if he does, will he be cleared for play week 7?
2. Leshoure. Good? Bad? RBBC? Smith relegated to back up?
3. Smith...will he again get hurt?

That said, I had one league draft so far and took Smith in the 10th and LeShoure a few picks later. Smith as a Flex RB is 6 weeks of joy.

4. Once Best goes on PUP, do they sign a back like Ryan Grant to take his roster spot?

Smith just came off in the 9th round in my league, 2 picks before I was gonna snag him. I frowned.
