Draft help

Postby holly71488 » Wed Aug 15, 2012 1:14 pm

I'm new to fantasy and as the only girl in the league so I have a lot to prove. I'm torn on my 2nd round pick. I draft 7th so assuming Foster, Rice, McCoy, Rodgers, Brees, and Brady go before me, I should be able to snag Calvin Johnson in round 1. I'm considering Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford in round 2 depending on how our 8th man drafts. We have snake draft so I'll get the 10th pick as well. I would love a running back in round 2 but I'm not sure if the top 3 are gone then who would be worth it opposed to a good QB. I also considered one of the top 2 tight ends here as well but everything I have read says no tight ends in the 2nd round. What do you think? Or should I go another way entirely?

Welcome to Fantasy Football, one thing I can tell you is never assume a player will be there when you are going to pick, you would be surprised but someone with the 3rd pick can grab Calvin. In any case be prepared with your first pick to have 7 options. I think that is too high for Newton and Stafford I would go more with proven and getting a good RB is a key. There are not too many RB's that get majority of the carries. I also wouldn't get a TE in the second round. This is my way of looking if you can get a everydown back in the first two rounds do it otherwise you better get year in and year out all star such as a Brees, Brady, Calvin Johnson.
