I have Rice as my keeper and have the 10th and 11th pick in a snake format. I am thinking of going RB and QB/WR/TE with my first two picks. My question is, which guy do you like most out of these three. All have potential to be excellent #2 backs but all have injury concerns too. I am leaning towards Demarco Murray but I am really concerned with their O Line and the fact that all of their skilled position players are dinged. Defenses could stack the box on Murray. I think Forte is always underrated but Bush looming will take away goaline and short yardage in between the 20s. Matthews is pegged to get the rock a lot and goaline. Injury free, he is the no brainer, but knowing that he will already more than likely miss week 1 and maybe week 2, he scares me a bit for obvious reasons.
If Mathews can come back quickly enough, he's probably worth the risk for the long run. I have Forte as a keeper, so I'm always comfortable with him - and Bush is just a new face in the short yardage or goal line packages...it was never MF's thing. DeMMurray has lots of potential, but has the most risk in my book.
I think since it is a keeper you go Mathews, what does the first 2 weeks mean in the whole grand scheme of things? When you can keep him year after year?
After that I take Matt Forte. Michael Bush is just a more expensive Marion Barber, they didn't give Forte that brinks truck full of cash to sit on the sideline, he's still going to catch a ton of passes and do good.
Demarco Murray is a good player too, but he's just way too injury prone. I don't forsee him all of a sudden scoring a lot of touchdowns either, he'll have to do his damage on volume of touches like Forte. His ceiling is Forte imo, his floor is injured reserve or another overhyped Dallas RB (Julius Jones, Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Demarco Murray?)
