Evan Royster is still sitting at 10.10 on Fantasycalculator. I'm hoping to snag him at 10.7 coming up in my draft. He's practically a lock to be the starter week 1. I think as we get closer to the season Helu is going to tumble down draft boards and Royster will rise. Royster got all the 1st team snaps in the last preseason game with Helu playing exclusively with Grossman and the 2nd team.

Now will he keep the job? Who the hell knows with Shanahan. But he did finish with fantastic numbers weeks 16 and 17 last year.

Honestly I'm having flashbacks to when Arian Foster brokeout. (By no means am I saying he's as good as him though)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tate went down for the season, Hightower and Helu both battling injuries right now.

Foster's excellent TC reports and the declaration he was the starter went largely unnoticed by the fantasy community, Royster was praised by the coaches saying he could be as good as he wants to be and he's a 3 down back. He's at the top of the depth chart and no one wants to notice.

Foster went undrafted, Royster fell to the 6th round.

Foster's last 2 weeks of 2009 - 19 carries for 97 yards 1 TD, 20 carries for 119 yards 2 TDs + 3 rec for 26 yards
Royster's last 2 weeks of 2011 - 19 carries for 132 yards + 2 rec for 15, 20 carries for 113 yards + 5 rec for 52 yards.
(week 17 also saw Royster get the start over a healthy Roy Helu)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Royster just looks like the best kept secret in fantasy football to me. Of course Shanahanigans is the reason why.

On CBS his ADP looks like mid 12th round, but Idk how far back their data goes, so he could be going higher on there by now.

I'd say if you really wanna get him, late 9th round or 10th round would be a good spot.

With Shanahan at the controls? Honestly, I do my best to NEVER take a Shanahan RB. Shanahan teams bring too much thinking and headaches to RB selection each week. Maybe I'd take a late round flyer on one of the Wash. RBs but I'd look hard at other options first.

Well that's what we're talking about, a late round flier on Royster.

The people burning 6th or 7th rounders on Roy Helu are just asking for it.

Royster's actually available in Free Agency in my early draft league. I have him on my watch list, but I'm hoping other options keep me from taking him. Another owner just dropped Denarius Moore and I'd MUCH rather take him after waivers end.

In mocks, I haven't taken one unless it's been a double-digit round. 10th round or later, because even when you have the guy getting the most touches, it's still a very unsettling feeling with Shanahan on the sideline.

I have Helu as a 14th round keeper in a league and I'm not keeping him. That sum my thoughts up?
