Our 4th and Goal league has been running since 2001, but due to financial issues, we lost three coaches this year and are now looking to fill their spots. If there is enough interest, we would even considering moving up to a 12 team league.
This is a keeper league (4 keepers per team) so to make things fair, each new team will select their four keepers from the remaining available players before the returning teams get to pick. The available players will also include all players from the coaches not returning, so you will not be left with just the leagues rejects. Some of these players include: Rob Gronkowski, Chris Johnson, Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald and others.
The entry fee is $60, with the payouts breaking down like this: $240 First $100 Second $20 each week of the regular season (13 games) to the high scorer of the week.
The $20 is used for incentive for each coach to play their best game every week, no matter their record, and allows everyone a chance to pocket some cash at the end of the season.

Just to put it out there, I do have first pick in the draft (after the new teams get their picks). Our draft order is determined by the previous years rankings, with last place picking first. I unfortunately stunk up the field last year, hence the first pick. I wanted to be up front because I know it would seem fishy that the commish gets the first pick.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Chris, it is difficult to list everyone who is available. We do not select keepers until three days before the draft so we are not left with injured players, and it gives time to trade keepers during the off season. With that said, I cannot say who is a keeper and who is available from the returning teams. There are two teams in particular that were quite stacked last year and we are all chomping on the bits at the players they will be forced to let go, but have no idea which ones they will be. However, I can post the final rosters of the three teams that will not be back. Obviously, some are not keeper worthy, but here is what they had, all of which will be available to the new coaches, as well as all rookies, FA from last year, and the players not kept from the other coaches:
Sam Bradford Plaxico Burress Randall Cobb Rob Gronkowski Rex Grossman Percy Harvin Brandon Jacobs Chris Johnson Willis McGahee Darren Sproles Mike Wallace Vince Young Miles Austin Reggie Bush Joe Flacco Pierre Garcon Tony Gonzalez Santonio Holmes Brandon Marshall Rashard Mendenhall Lance Moore Adrian Peterson Brandon Pettigrew Tony Romo Larry Fitzgerald Josh Freeman Ted Ginn Jr. Shonn Greene Montario Hardesty Fred Jackson Dustin Keller Marcedes Lewis Eli Manning Mike Tolbert Wes Welker Mike Williams

Each team has four keepers, so the three new teams will each receive four picks from all of the available players BEFORE the returning teams receive an actual draft pick. After the new teams draft their "keepers", then the draft will continue in a normal fashion, with each team selecting a player in a round.
is it possible to see the available players for the 4 round newby draft from the league home page?
Not really. I am not trying to hide anything, but until the keepers are picked and the rest of the players dumped back into the FA pool, I can't say for certain who is going to be picked for keepers and who is going to be let go. All of the players from the three coaches no longer in the league I have already posted. Rookies obviously are all FA.
Not sure if you are able to view this without being a member of last years league, but here is the link to last years rosters: http://archive.fantasysports.yahoo.com/ ... 43/rosters If it works, you could gauge and make an educated guess as to who would be kept and who would be released from each team. Ignore the K keeper status mark next to certain players. Those are not necessarily Keepers and I am not sure why they are there. That is about the best I can do with informing you who is going to be (possibly) available to you.
If you need anything else, I would be happy to provide it if I am able to.
