Vincent Brown - Broken Ankle

I had this guy stashed on the bench quietly hoping he'd live up to expectations in SD this year. Guess we'll have to wait a little while to see.

UPDATE: Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego reported Brown suffered a broken ankle and will undergo surgery Sunday. He's expected to miss at least eight weeks, a significant blow to the offense. "He's our best receiver," one veteran told Acee.

Vincent Brown underwent surgery Sunday morning to repair a broken left ankle, suffered in the third quarter against the Cowboys. He is expected to miss about eight weeks and return in time for the second half of the season.

The Chargers plan to bite the numbers bullet, keeping Brown aboard the 53-man roster and likely carrying an extra wide receiver as Brown returns to health.
