RB or TE? (I'll Help You)

Postby Lucky7 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 9:39 am

10 team, NON-PPR, standard scoring. Start QB,RB,RB,WR,WR, FLEX(WR/RB/TE), TE.
2 keeper league. I kept CAM (15th rd) and MURRAY (14th).
I have the 10/11 picks at the swing.
I anticipate that the following may be available at the 10/11 pix:
SJax
Lynch
Maybe AP
All WRs except Calvin
Graham OR Gronk

Who would you pick at 10+11?
A: Lock up the 3 RBs and get whichever two of the above is there. OR
B: Best available RB + whichever of Graham/Gronk is there. OR
C: Get BOTH Graham + Gronk (we can flex TEs)

Leave a link.

In my opinion, no doubt I go Graham and Gronk. None of those RBs are guaranteed as consistent as those two TEs. They're good but I don't think you can pass up the tight end combos in a flex league like that. I think SJax and AP are in for good years once again but I am slightly less confident in them than the TEs. 2nd choice I'd say AP and one of the tight ends.

I never like have a set strategy when drafting simply because you never know who will be there. I always pre rank my players and stick to my rankings. If it happens to be Graham n Gronk then go with those two. You have a great base to start with Cam and Murray for two of your late picks. Good luck.

No one kept Graham/Gronk?? With your keepers, I'd go option C and grab both TEs. You'd be starting two elites each week as opposed to a TE1/RB2 TE1/WR1b option.

Got a similar question:

We can only keep 2 players and they move up 2 draft rounds each year, so those teams with Graham and Gronk had better options (ie Rodgers in the 7th).

Graham and Gronk left behind? That's incredible.

I would go for the gusto and grab them both. Their numbers are certain to spike this year even though people will be expecting them too, especially Graham. He's crucial to the offense and these guys will get you consistent numbers every week. Brady and Brees will be tossing the ball to these guys. Safe choice here.
