12 team non-ppr standard scoring. QB/2RB/2WR/2TE/K/DEF.
So I'm considering going Graham/Gronk if they both drop. I'll have two elite starting options each week, but am worried that'll leave me really thin at RB. Would it be better to do something like:
I would definitely go with the two TEs unless you feel really confident about a later TE pick like Jared Cook or something. Forte is a solid pick and I think he's going to have a great year, but I just don't see him outshining either Graham or Gronk. RBs are too unpredictable, whereas those two seem to be extremely steady and solid barring injury.
Thanks for the help on mine! What is your league scoring? Regardless I think going TE/TE is a great option. Unless a CJ2k or DMC makes it to 12 I think its a great route to go. If an elite QB also makes it to 12 you'd seriously have to consider that as well. But knowing the league scoring would help a bit
Eastmont League 10-3 (2nd Seed) Wenatchee League 9-4 (2nd Seed) Urine Trouble League 6-7 (6th seed boooya!!!)
imo TE is so deep this year, going TE/TE really puts you behind the 8 ball at the RB position, I think you need to take a RB (DMC, CJ etc, I dont think I'd go Forte in that position) with one of those picks. However, if there isnt a RB there that you like then I think TE/TE might be your only recourse.
I would not go TE/TE. I think you have to grab a RB or an elite QB at 12/13, depending on who is there. Nothing wrong with getting one TE there, but not 2.
The position format does make TEs more valuable, but the way you have it mocked up right now is great. Getting a value TE2 in the later rounds would definitely save you space for a more well rounded team. I would want to pick up a QB a little earlier than the 7th round, though, unless someone like Matty Ice drops that far.
Barring the possibility that CJ or DMC drops to you, I'd get Graham/Forte if you can, but prepare for backup plans like Murray/Mathews/Charles. The more time that passes by the better the chances are of reaching for people like Charles and AP. Of course you'd need to secure a late-round pick to handcuff 'em though.
