Next Pick, who/what position should I grab...WHIR

Postby umma10 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 4:39 pm

I have a dilemma, I am next up to pick and have the following players:

Eli Manning
Ray Rice
Frank Gore
Megatron
M. Colston
S. Johnson (BUF)

Should I either get a TE or a backup WR....I feel the TE position is so deep that I could get something like R. Wayne

Here is what is on the board, feel free to rate them

WR:
R. Wayne
A. Boldin
R. Meachum
N. Washington
S. Holmes

TE:
Finley
Davis
Celek
Gresham
Pettigrew
Gonzo

Typical PPR scoring, 12 team league, after this pick I dont pick for 20 rounds

2 things:

1) I assume you mean for 20 picks, not 20 rounds. That would be crazy.

2) WR depth is deep, and most leagues only require you to start 1 TE, so if I don't get one of the top ones I usually wait till near the very end to grab one. With a thin RB class, I would look to start building depth there. Which RB's are avialable?

I'd go TE here, since you look set at WR and that position is equally deep anyways. Vernon Davis would be a great pick at this spot IMO, but I'd also consider Gonzo and Finley. And I assume you meant that you're not picking for 20 picks after this?

I like Donald Brown. Hoard the rbs, and trade later.

TE:
Finley
Davis
Celek
Gresham
Pettigrew
Gonzo

RB:
B. Wells
J. Stewart
D. Williams
K. Smith
D. Brown
P. Hillis
M. Bush

The tight ends are pretty decent especially Davis. I don't like the WR choices as is. So that leaves the RB and you could put yourself in a great position with some RB depth. Wells, J-Stew, a healthy Kevin Smith, Donald Brown, you can do some things there. Grab them and barter later with someone for some WR help.
