Matthews/Britt for Shone Green/Meachem

Postby tripower » Wed Aug 22, 2012 9:06 pm

I feel I drafted a damn good team, and have the potential to make it better:

QB Stafford
WR Marshall
WR Harvin
RB McFadden
RB Fred Jackson
WRT Shone Green
TE Finley
K Gotkowski
DEF 49ers
Bench: Garcon, RG3, Meachem, Celek, and DEF/Seattle

Another team in the league didn't score in the RB position; he acquired Matthews, Helu, and Deangelo Williams. With Matthews not starting the first few games of the season, he's wanting an immediate upgrade to his RB position. He's proposed the following:

RB Ryan Matthews and WR Kenny Britt for RB Shone Green and WR Robert Meachem. I'm deep enough to where I can sit both Matthews and Britt until they're healthy, so I'm thinking of pulling the trigger. What do you all think??

I would make the trade. Green will struggle to get TDs due to Tebow and the Jets are not a high powered offense. Mathews is a big upgrade. I prefer Britt to Meachem long term as well. This trade will not help you in the first couple games but will later in the season.

Take this trade.

There is no reason to hesitate. You would be getting a steal.

Take it from a Jets fan, Greene is a middling talent at best.

A great trade if you have the ability to bench Matthews when he's constantly hurt.

I would definitely do this trade. My only concern is that your 2 primary backs will basically be the 2 most injury prone in the league. You could easily find yourself in a position where you need more depth here. May need to drop the 2nd D and try to make a pickup off waivers, or if RG3 strings together some solid weeks try to sell him high for a flex level RB.

Definitely I would do this trade. Both players you receive, when healthy, are upgrades over who you send.
