Wallace & Mendenhall or Bradshaw and Thomas

Postby Gregm5021 » Thu Aug 23, 2012 8:18 am

I was just offered his A. Bradshaw and D. Thomas (DEN WR) for my M. Wallace and R. Mendenhall. I really want to pull the trigger on this because of my lack of depth at RB, and surplus at WR. The league is not ppr and here is my current roster. Just looking for some opinions on this trade...
QB D. Brees (NO) Bench M.Flynn (SEA)
RB T. Richardson (CLE) Bench D. Brown (IND)
RB S. Greene (NYJ) Bench R. Mendenhall (PIT)
WR L. Fitzgerald (ARI) Bench R. Meachem (SD)
WR M. Wallace (PIT) Bench S. Rice (SEA)
WR D. Jackson (PHI) Bench S. Holmes (NYJ)
TE A. Gates (SD)
K A. Henery (PHI)

Mendenhall wasn't that good before his ACL injury, how do you think he'll fare 9 months after he tore it? Plus he won't be full speed once the season starts anyway, can't count on this guy.

I hate M. Wallace this year (and most others) simply because he's a one dimentional receiver, but he's also holding out - and has little time to learn the new offense installed by Todd Haley. I think he'll be more of a decoy for the first 6-8 weeks while adjusting to the system - stretching the field and letting Antonio Brown get all the shine.

I'd have absolutely no problem letting both of these guys go.

From my standpoint a current upgrade at both positions......pull the trigger..hands down....
