Which 7 to keep?

Postby suckerpuncher » Sun Aug 26, 2012 2:10 pm

Time to select keepers.
We keep 7 guys in a 12 team H2H league.

Scoring
Offense
Passing Yards 25 yards per point
Passing Touchdowns 6
Interceptions -2
Rushing Yards 10 yards per point
Rushing Touchdowns 6
Receptions 0.5
Reception Yards 10 yards per point
Reception Touchdowns 6
Return Yards 25 yards per point; 4 points at 100 yards
Return Touchdowns 6
2-Point Conversions 2
Fumbles Lost -2
Offensive Fumble Return TD 6

Defensive Players
Tackle Solo 1
Tackle Assist 0.5
Sack 2
Interception 3
Fumble Force 2
Fumble Recovery 2
Defensive Touchdown 6
Safety 3
Pass Defended 1.5
Block Kick 3

Roster: QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, K, DEF, DB, DL, LB, IR, IR, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

I'll leave out PK, team defense since I play matchup with them and also the IDP.

My team:
Julio Jones (Atl - WR)*
Hakeem Nicks (NYG - WR)*
Michael Turner (Atl - RB)*
Peyton Hillis (KC - RB)*
Peyton Manning (Den - QB)*
Kevin Smith (Det - RB)*
Ryan Williams (Ari - RB)
Toby Gerhart (Min - RB)
Pierre Thomas (NO - RB)
Mikel LeShoure (Det - RB)
Santana Moss (Was - WR)
Sam Bradford (StL - QB)
Dallas Clark (TB - TE)
Devin Hester (Chi - WR)
Ed Dickson (Bal - TE)
Scott Chandler (Buf - TE)
Dexter McCluster (KC - RB)
Matt Moore (Mia - QB)

I personally tend to keep the 6 marked with*. And for the last spot it's either Thomas (since we get .5 PPR) or since my RB are already weak and old I might take a gamble on either LeShoure or Williams.

I'll draft 3rd overall so I might not get Richardson or Martin.

Which 7 would you keep?
Thanks in advance.

I think you have them correct. Is there any advantage to not keeping the entire seven? Cause keeping k Smith is a stretch.... and then adding Turner and hillis. Lets hope you get Richardson or Martin!

Thanks.

We have to keep 7. If not we'd get an extra last round pick which wouldn't be much help.
Btw. Who'd you take for the 7th spot? Thomas, Williams or LeShoure?

I would take williams. I think that beanie wells is awful, so Williams should get plenty of carries

I agree on Julio, Nicks, Manning, Turner and Hillis. 2 top 10 WRs, a top 10 QB and 2 quality RBs. Hillis is a popular pick to be this year's backup RB worth a FLEX play. However, I really don't like Kevin Smith, but it isn't as if you have many better options. If you were to keep him, I wouldn't blame you. But if you wanted to go upside, then both Williams (if he can beat out Beanie...which shouldn't be hard) and LeShoure have potential. After his suspension is up, I expect LeShoure to take over the starting gig by week 4 or 5.

If you keep the current 6, then for the 7th I would pick LeShoure over Williams. But by a hair.
