Graham or rb?

Postby deltaboy » Sun Aug 26, 2012 11:13 pm

I somehow scored McCoy on the 7th pick and followed with Graham as my #2. RB is thin and iffy this season, I would stock up and get a TE deeper. ie. Pettigrew, Gonz, Olsen...

2012 ESPN 12 Team Standard:

1.07: L McCoy
2.06: J Graham
3.07: M Lynch

8.06: D Brown
9.07: T Gonzalez
10.6: A Luck
11.7: N Washington
12.6: Buffalo DST
13.7: J Hansen
14.6: R Mendenhall

Hard to say I could justify that. I've considered Gronk or Graham to be equal to or better then many WRers out there because they put up WR numbers. I think it depends where you get slotted in. Outside of the top end RBs there's a lot of injury questions and concerns with the No. 5 - 10 guys this year. I think you should see what's there for RB or consider an elite WR too.

Help with mine?

The answer to this question has a lot to do with your format. Is this PPR?

In PPR leagues, having Graham specifically gives you a huge edge. He will put up WR1 numbers where the majority of other TEs put up WR3 numbers or worse. The advantage of being allowed to start a WR1 where your opponent if forced to start a WR3 is rather significant.

I wouldn't take Gronk or Graham THAT early that's TOO early.

What's too early, the 2nd round? Graham is going on average at the end of the 1rst in a majority of PPR leagues, justifiably so.

I think anywhere after the top five qbs and the top 3 rbs is fine to take Graham.

It is ppr
I'll have my choice of any of the rbs besides Foster, rice, McCoy, cj, dmc, forte
And I'll have brady as my first pick
Im 9 of 10 so I won't have a shot at a rb until late third

You could go Murray, Charles or even Sproles.

It's gonna suck to have a late third RB as your RB1, but i'd be very tempted to take Graham.
Lots of question marks with all the available RBs, but Graham is almost guaranteed to have a top season and outscore your opponents' TEs big time.

Since it's PPR i'd probably take Graham. I've taking him at the 14th spot (got 3rd pick in 8-man PPR league) in almost all the mock drafts where he's fallen to me.
2013 roster (10-man PPR league)

QBs: R. Wilson, Romo
RBs: D. Martin, Sproles, L. Miller, G. Bernard
WRs: R. White, Amendola, Josh Gordon, Edelman, James Jones, Keenan Allen
TEs: Graham
