Will my team be able to take it all the way?

Postby LTisBest » Mon Aug 27, 2012 6:59 pm

10-man PPR league (1pt per reception)...I picked number 2 overall in a snake draft...

QB's - Rodgers and Rivers
RB's - S Jackson, A Bradshaw, S Greene, T Gerhart
WR's - Fitzgerald, Nicks, Decker, Steve Smith (STL), Mike Williams (TB)
TE's - Gates, Jared Cook
K - Alex Henrey
D/ST - Bears and Chargers

I think my RB's are a little light all around (fragile backfield)...guys like K Hunter,J Rodgers, Ryan Williams, Mike Bush, Leshoure, Vereen, Blount, and A Morris are still out there on the FA wire.

Are there any WR's out there who are flying under the radar like when MIke Williams (TB) came out his rookie year?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...I will do my best to return the favor.

I really like your WR core. Fitz is gonna be Fitz, and I really like Decker to haul in a ton of passes from Manning. I also like M. Williams to have a bounce-back year with defenses focusing on VJax.
I'm not sold on your RB tandem, or the ones you mentioned on the WW. I don't know how committed you are to Rodgers (and I know that suggesting this is tantamount to sacrilege to many people), but I might consider trying to trade him for a top tier receiving RB.

Help with mine:

I think your RBs are going to kill you. If you can drop Jared Cook and the Chargers D and pickup some of those WW running backs. Then hope an injury turns one of them into a starter.

Like everyone else said, not sold on the RBs, especially in a PPR league - maybe try packaging Rivers + Greene or Bradshaw to a team with a weaker QB for a RB that will catch some passes.

Like your WRs tho, have both Nicks and Decker as well
12 Team PPR BIG $ LEAGUE
QB - Matt Ryan (J. Freeman)
RB - Arian Foster, Reggie Bush (Ballard, Starks, Bell)
WR - Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall (Nicks, Britt)
Flex - Eric Decker
TE - Jared Cook, (G. Olsen)
D/ST - MIA
K - S. Graham

Thanks for the input fellas, I think I'll try to package one of my QB's and RB's for a team that needs better QB play and has some better options at RB. I think Gerhart has a chance to be a decent play this year, only because I'm not sold on AP coming back and being the same player. Green I think has the potential to bust out this year. But Steven Jackson and Bradshaw (who I like in my ppr league) won't likely play a full 16 game slate like I might need them to.
