I am trying to decide between AP at home v. Jacksonville or Reggie Bush at Houston for week one. I'm just not sure with AP's reduced workload to start him or if it would be wise to change my first thought of Bush. Thanks y'all
In Bush's case, he's facing the Texans, which have the 2nd overall ranked defense vs rushing, on top of the fact that any opposing team knows that he is miami's only real offensive weapon. They're going to stuff him.
If AP were 100% he has the better matchup (jacksonville is ranked 9th overall against the run), though not by much, and he's going to be limited in touches.
Overall, you're not looking at a great matchup either way.
Who are your backup RB's? Even if they are less productive overall, they probably will gain you more points for week 1 in this case.
Yeah that was kinda what I was afraid of...my #1 RB is R. Rice, obvious starter. My #4 RB is P. Hillis or I could get Rashad Jennings, but really not looking to start dumping people on week 0!
I'm honestly liking Jennings off the WW to be your starter. However, he's against Minnesota, not NYG, as someone said. Either way, if MJD holds out, Jennings is the guy. AP is still kind of gimpy, even if he plays, and Hillis is the change-of-pace and red zone guy.. not worth as many points.

AP vs R. Bush? R. Bush for week 1. I would be surprised if AP gets more than 10 touches in week 1. He went through a major knee surgery late last season.
pick up Jennings. If you don't get him off the WW then go with Hillis. Like him to get the short yardage and goal line touches. Bush has tough matchup and AP is a NP until we see him at full speed
