Jimmy Graham/Dez Bryant Trade - Is it fair?!

Postby RAMFantasyFootball » Mon Aug 27, 2012 10:48 pm

We start 1 QB, 2 WRs, 2 RBs, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR or RB), 1 K, and 1 DEF.

He put Jimmy Graham on the trading block and asked for a QB. I'm willing to give him Ben Roethlisberger and Dez Bryant for Jimmy Graham and Josh Freeman. Is it fair? What if I include Boldin in the trade. He'd have to drop an extra player, but he has to drop Rackers anyway.

MY TEAM
QB: Tony Romo, Ben Roethlisberger
WR: Andre Johnson, Dez Bryant, Reggie Wayne, Anquan Boldin, Justin Blackmon, Lance Moore
RB: Matt Forte, DeMarco Murray, Issac Redman, Mikel LeShoure
TE: Aaron Hernandez
K: Justin Tucker
DEF: Detroit Lions

HIS TEAM
QB: Robert Griffin III, Josh Freeman
WR: Hakeem Nicks, Eric Decker, Sidney Rice, Santana Moss
RB: Darren Sproles, Roy Helu, Donald Brown, David Wilson
TE: Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham
K: David Akers, Neil Rackers
DEF: Houston Texans

Looks like he went TE with his top 2 picks. Trade sounds fair but keep in mind that you take a big hit at WR. If you pull it off, trade Hernandez away for a better WR.

I think that you are alright at TE. The trade would help you at TE but leave you with a shaky backup at QB if your starter goes down and you will be taking a hit at WR if you can't find anyone to take Hernandez for a WR. It could end up helping you, but it could also end up hurting you. I personally like Hernandez at TE and i don't think you need to upgrade.

Made the trade of Ben/Dez for just Graham and decided to pick up Russell Wilson off waivers instead of trading for Freeman.

My plan is to now move Reggie Wayne to the WR2 spot and trade Hernandez for Steven Jackson (or Cedric Benson) and put him in my flex spot.

I have high hopes for both Reggie Wayne and Justin Blackmon this year, so I'm not too worried about my WRs right now. Was able to hang on to Anquan Boldin, too.

Not sure why you were so eager to make this trade. I think Hernandez is going to have a monster year, and Dez will set career highs in every category possible, mark it down. But Jimmy graham should be the best fantasy TE this year. Better than gronk

I like the trade for you. You just got one of the big two TE and in my opinion the best one. I would take a lot of receivers before I would take Dez. Theres not one tight end I take before Graham. Ben is gonna be average so hes easily replaceable. You definitely got the best value and the better player. He'll score more than Dez and thats coming from the TE slot. Invaluable.

If he accepts the trade he is dumb so it is worth a shot
But hes getting a mediocre qb and a WR2/3 for a clear cut TE1
