Who to keep?

Postby marstoad » Mon Aug 27, 2012 10:56 pm

This is a very old keeper league. Long ago it was decided that we would keep 6 players per year. It is a ppr, 12 team league. I have the 11th pick in the draft. Here is my team and I need to pick 6 to keep. Thoughts?

QB - Aaron Rodgers, Colt McCoy
RB - Chris Johnson, Ray Rice, Kendall Hunter, Felix Jones, James Starks
WR - Antonio Brown, Dez Bryant, Andre Johnson, James Jones, Jeremy Maclin, Damian Williams
TE - Aaron Hernandez

I would never keep a kicker or defense so I won't list them. At this point I am thinking of Rodgers, C. Johnson, Rice, Hernandez and then 2 WR's. Which 2 of Brown, Bryant, Andre Johnson or Maclin?

I will go out on a limb and keep your 3 WR. If not, Bryant and Johnson. Maclin shouldn't be in the running.

Agree with keeping Rodgers, CJ, and Rice as the top 3.

I also see no fault in going with Hernandez, a top 3 TE IMO.

But then the issue of the last 2 spots, and you have 3 worth WRs. The problem is, 2 have potential to be top 10, but both of them have big ??? while Brown is a much safer pick, whos ceiling is lower. Because I would worry so much about Andre staying healthy, and if Dez can keep his head level, I would pick A. Brown with my 5th choice. I want at least 1 guy I can start and not worry about.

As for the 6th spot, I would pick Dez. He is younger (huge factor in keeper league) and his ceiling is higher (can't deny the boy's talent or potential). If he stays healthy and out of trouble, then he could be the top 10 WR you need.
