possibly trading Kevin Smith

I picked up Kevin Smith on the waiver wire (dropped Mark Ingram) and a team has contacted me saying he would be interested in trading for Smith but has not specified who he would give up.

for context here is both of our teams

Mine:

QB: Brees, Schaub

WR: Wallace, T. Smith, S. Johnson, Royal, D. Baldwin

RB: McCoy, Greene, Smith, Redman (possibly dropping him for J. Stewart), and Mendenhall

TE: Hernandez

His:

QB: Brady, Dalton

WR: Blackmon, Welker, Crabtree, Manningham

RB: Peterson, Ronnie Brown, Spiller

TE: Graham, Keller


So who should I try to get in return?

I'd like to know Smith's value if you do make the trade. I have him sitting on my bench as a fifth RB, and I'm actually considering possibly starting him Week 1 if he's healthy (vs. Rams), but that spot will probably end up going to Richardson or Martin.

I don't know how Kevin Smith was on the waiver wire. Right now he would be your #2 rb in week 1. I would keep him for now. He is a much safer start than Greene, IMO.

What about Kevin Smith and Stevie Johnson for Marques Colston (or A.J. Green/Gregg Jennings) I can have any of these three WR for K. Smith and S. Johnson. This trade would be with a different team, there is a few in my league desperate for a RB

This is clearly an 8-teamer. There's no reason for any of the names mentioned to be on WWs.

IMO, Smith's value is at it's lowest right now. Wait until he puts up respectable numbers verse STL and then dump him before he gets seriously injured.

We have a few guys who didn't want Smith because of the pass first offense he is in and because they think once Leshoure is back Smith will lose his job. The guys who did want smith had lower WW positions than me. Also, I am not high on Ridley I would have left him on the WW.

There is no such thing as a competitive league where K.Smith, Ridley, Jstew and Ingram are on the WWs. With the RB pool as thin as it is this year that's literally unheard of. Those same players wouldn't hit WWs in a 10-teamer. I'm sorry but that's ludicrous.
