Okay, I did a lot of work to get this team in shape, but my wrs are weak. 12-man league, 1 ppr, dynasty. We start qb-rb-rb-rb-wr-wr-wr-wr-te-flex-k-d. Big roster, that three rb minimum is tough.
I was offered a big trade today, been tweaking it back and forth. THIS may be an offer I can live with.
HE OFFERS:
Vick Brandon Marshall Garcon VDavis
for
Weeden Julio Jones Kendall Wright Greg Olsen
I know he's getting youth, and I'm getting older players (but good players). Make the trade?
Here is my entire team, with current starters in bold. Vick, BM, Garcon and VD would all start, if I made this trade.
Holy hell this is tough. Freeman has looked better, and finally has some decent targets, so he'll be better than in years prior, which is why I'm not sure if Vick is worth giving up Julio. Marshall is no slouch, and Garcon has been linking up with RGIII well all preseason. There's no question you're getting back the bigger name value, but giving up Julio just stings so damn much in a dynasty league. You're right, your WRs are weak, but I'm not sure that Garcon + Marshall makes them better than just having Julio.
I'm VERY torn, but I would probably end up doing the deal.
I say if you want to win now, do it; but you sacrifice your future.
I think if you want to stand pat, look to add via ww(if available): Jerome Simpson Danny Amendola Steve Smith(STL) Josh Gordon Greg Little Braylon Edwards
thanks, guys, yeah it's a hard offer to figure out. i don't know if i can win now.
best wrs on the ww if i stand pat (it's blind bid) based on "most added"
Josh Gordon Rod Streater Keshawn Martin
SLIM pickings. i do like all three and will take a shot at them all (i can drop lots of guys such as plax and knox [don't think Johnny ever plays again])
try the ww in a week? and if so, how much to bid on each? (i have $100 for the year)
I wouldnt do this. Julio is and Wright are both going to be amazing talents in the NFL. You give up way to much youth and upside for me. I do like the idea of upgrading your QB but I dont think the fragile Vick is a great option.
I drink because of the 1998 NFC championship game.
12 team big $$$ non PPR league - QB RB RB WR WR TE D K
QB: Rivers RB: Murray, Matthews, R.Bush, D. Brown WR: Julio Jones, Colston, VJax, Garcon TE: Witten, Gresham K: Kaeding DST: SEA

I love deep leagues like this til you need a ww pickup I would play the wire and see what happens, dont trade five years of sexy WR depth away for a inconsistent QB and mediocre aging players. I would add Josh Gordon out of those that are left on the wire.

Don't do it. If you can't make a run for it all right now, Wright and Jones give you a helluva 1-2 punch for years to come. And Olsen might equal V.Davis' stats this year. You would get an upgrade at QB in terms of fantasy production but you also get a player who is often injured and can't have too many more years left with his style of play.
Is Dwayne Harris available on the WW? IMO, with rosters/benches that deep, he's a guy to snatch up. He reminds me of Victor Cruz in the sense that Cruz had a HUGE preseason 2 years ago, then didn't really get much opportunity in the regular season 2 years ago, then blew up last year when opportunity arose. Harris has had an incredible preseason, though that's with several Cowboys receivers missing. Then again, we know Austin will be missing again soon. I'd drop Plax for Harris in a heartbeat.
I also think Keyshawn is a great grab for the future.
