Drop Tate? WHIR

Postby dilhan » Tue Aug 28, 2012 10:29 pm

My team - .5 ppr:

Qb- Romo
Qb- Cutler
Wr- Jordy Nelson
wr- Percy Harvin
Wr- Eric Decker
Wr- Titus Young
rb- Marshawn Lynch
rb- Matt Forte
rb- darren sproles
rb- green-ellis
rb- ben tate
rb- michael bush
te- aaron hernandez
k- Hanson
def- seattle

So I just had my draft and realized Kyle Rudolph is available on the waiver wire. I'm thinking of picking him up for his massive upside and a nice backup for hernandez. The problem is I do not know who to drop.
The guys that I would consider dropping are michael bush and ben tate. Michael Bush is probably more important to my team, as he is a handcuff to matt forte. But ben tate has more value as trade bait or becomes a number 1 rb if foster goes down.

Or of course, I can just stay put with the team I have.

I would stay put. Tate is a RB1 if Foster goes down. I like him better than Rudolph and I bleed purple and gold ;-D
I drink because of the 1998 NFC championship game.

yeah I wouldn't drop Tate either. He's a great RB when he gets playing time. You can sit on him for a bit.

What Stevoo said. Tate has proven to be a good back in case Foster goes down and I definitely like Tate more than Rudolph. Thanks for the help!

I agree with all the above, you can not drop a guy like Tate who's an injury away from RB1 status in a run heavy offense. I do like Rudolph though, if I HAD to drop someone I guess it would be Titus Young, though I dont think its necessary. Rudolph is a guy that isnt on too many peoples radar, so you may be able to wait on him and grab him later in the year if someone gets hurt.

Help with mine?
