BIG Trade Help! WHIR

Postby jeloman » Tue Aug 28, 2012 10:35 pm

I want to make a trade where I would give up Cam Newton and possibly another player for Matt Ryan and one of his players. The other manager has already expressed interest in Torrey Smith. I'm really conflicted on whether I should make a trade where I give Newton and Smith for his Ryan and Johnson. Johnson is very injury prone and I don't like that about him. Regardless, would Cam Newton+Torrey Smith for Matt Ryan+Andre Johnson be a good trade?

It's very close...if you're willing to take the risk on Johnson (hoping he doesn't get hurt) then I would go with the trade. The safer option is to stay put, but I believe the higher ceiling is with Matty Ice and Andre

I dont like it, you're giving up Cam who we know what he can do, for Ryan, who may be good, but the falcons did the same type deal last year and went straight back to pounding the ball. I dont think that'll happen this year as everyone in the league knows Turner has lost a step, and I do think they take a step to a more uptempo offense.. I think Torrey Smith will be really good this year, he's the type of guy who can break one off from anywhere on the field and like you said AJ has been extremely injury prone the last few years.

I actually think the higher ceiling is with his side.. We know what AJ can do and Ryan may have some good upside, but he's not going to touch Cam's ceiling due purely to the rushing that Cam can do and the fact that he will still have his share of goal line plays even with Tolbert (who's never been a great goalline back)
