I have Calvin Johnson, so he will only see the bench when he isn't on the field. My other WRs are a different story.
Torrey Smith vs Cin
Miles Austin (still iffy with his hammy) vs NYG
Eric Decker vs Pit
Nate Washington vs NE
This one is tough for me, all the guys have a chance to do something good, but they could all also lay an egg.
I am really high on Torrey Smith this year, as Flacco seems determined to turn him into a star. He has like a bagillion targets this offseason, and I think he will turn into more than just a deep threat. But none of this is proven yet.
Miles Austin is probably, in my opinion, the most talented guy on this list. However, he can't seem to keep that hamstring of his healthy. He says he'll be ready to go on gameday, but it's tough to trust that.
Eric Decker seems like Peyton's new favorite target, and he got both of the endzone targets from Peyton in this last preseason game. But it's the first time he and Peyton will be playing together in a real game. And it's against a pretty talented defense.
Nate Washington probably won't have to deal with splitting catches with Kenny Britt in week one. But he also has Jake Locker throwing to him, which seems a little scary to me. And he might have to deal a talented Kendall Wright emerging. Though the Patriots pass defense set some records for sucking at covering passes last year, and I don't see much turnaround from that.
Help me, please. I think I might be over-thinking this.
