Here my big money league team, interested to see how you all think I did. I was able to go into the league without keeping any of my players, so I got the first two picks back to back, which was Julio Jones and McFadden. The rest is all below...please let me know what you think, and I'll return the favor.
Scoring: 6pts/TD for All, 1 pt/10 yds REC/RU
1 (8) Julio Jones 2 (18) Darren McFadden 3 (28) Jimmy Graham 4 (33) Ryan Mathews 5 (48) Doug Martin 6 (53) Brandon Lloyd 7 (68) Big Ben 8 (73) Rashad Jennings 9 (88) Kenny Britt 10 (93) Johnathan Stewart 11 (108) Titus Young 12 (113) Ben Tate 13 (128) Ronnie Brown - probably will drop him after Mathews comes back, depending on how he does and if it turns into RBBC 14 (133) Cowboys D/ST 15 (148) Matt Bryant
I feel I'm a bit weak at WR, but should be able to trade Tate and Jennings if needed to the owners of MJD and Foster for another WR. Thinking about targeting Torrey Smith, that owner has Foster. I think my RBs are my strength of the entire team. I got a steal with Mathews in the 4th round IMHO, and he and my other RBs should help carry my team to the playoffs.
Starting roster will probably look like this: QB: Big Ben RB: McFadden RB: Martin RB/WR: Brown WR: Julio Jones WR: Lloyd TE: Graham D/ST: Cowboys K: Bryant
I think you did a fantastic job here honestly. Absolute steal on Britt, and your two WR ahead of him are obviously solid as can be; I know your concerned about your WR depth but I think Lloyd is going to be a real issue for defenses trying to scheme against the Pats' attack, and I actually have him in my top 10 this year. Really love what your RB corps will look like after Mathews returns as well. For me, the highlights were getting Rashad in the 8th, pairing that with the fact that you have Mathews, because I think as MJD comes back, Mathews should be coming back, which will provide some level of ease in transition for you. Best TE possible imo so gj there.
My concern is obvious: Ben. I know you may be thinking that they'll need to throw without Mendy, and he does have two fantastic options, but I just have a problem with owning Ben in a 10 man league where passing TD's are valued so highly. It's tough to trade QB's without losing a ton, and you have the talent elsewhere to offset your QB, but if Foster's owner or MJD's owner has a slight upgrade at QB for you, that's honestly the direction I would try to move.
Overall, great job though, I really like your team.
Yeah I'm not fond of Big Ben, Peyton and Flacco went right before him as well, and would have taken both those guys over him. After that there wasn't much left at QB.
Wow awesome team QB is your only weakness I don't see a use for Ronnie brown, maybe eother drop him for a qb with potential. Or trade Ben and tate/jennings for an upgrade
I like your RB's I like your RB's as long as they stay healthy. High risk with McFadden and Matthews. I like Martin's potential to break out and Jennings should be solid until MJD comes back. I think you lack a depth at WR. Jones will put up numbers and when Britt comes back he should be good. Im not sold on Lloyd though. Brady has several targets to throw to. TE is rock solid. Big Ben should get the job done.
I would look for a trade for WR maybe. Offer up Jennings to whoever drafted MJD and see what you can get for him
This is one of those high risk, high reward teams. If Big Ben can bump his TD total up to 27-29, I like this team to compete. If he plays like last year you're probably going to struggle to keep up with the guys that have an elite QB. Still, I think for value it would be better to think about our wr help like you said. Most folks won't trade their backup QB until after their byes, although you might be able to score an upgrade if Roethlisberger doesn't put up big numbers this year after week 7 or 8.
Great team. You do need a little depth at WR. I'd go for one off the waiver. Is Cobb or Washington available. Outside of that it sounds like you have similar owners in your league as in mine. Clueless that is!

I agree with the previous posts. Big Ben might give you some of those games where he gets you only 10 points, but there's always a QB that gets undrafted that you might be able to pick up. I like your RBs, when healthy Also, I see Lloyd a boom-or-bust type, but can win you some games throughout the year
