Should I deal Benson for a TE? WHIR

Postby crockies99 » Fri Aug 31, 2012 2:57 pm

My team is listed below.

12 team ppr league.

Was wondering if anybody thought I should try and deal Cedric Benson for Tony Gonzalez or try and package something for Vernon Davis?

Those are the only tight ends that would probably be available for trade.

I would not trade benson, he could be in for a good year. big physical runner. as for your TE position. is Greg Olsen available, Kyle Rudolph, or anyone else on waivers? I'm only big on the two TE's(graham, gronk) cause they are truly elite, the other TE are pretty fair in terms of points they produce. Keller isn't bad

Thanks for weighing in on mine.

This is a tough one to make a call on (likely why there's no opinions yet! :-) ). Benson for Gonzo might not be bad if you don't intend on using Benson much. I think Donald Brown will perform nearly as well as Benson in the flex spot. I don't think you have enough to offer anyone in a package deal for Davis without leaving yourself too thin somewhere else.

I wouldn't....I think you are good to go....you have Keller and O.Daniels (truthfully I would start Daniels over Keller to begin the season)....Daniels has proven to be a good TE when healthy and him and his whole team are healthy thus far so.....I would ride him out to start.

Benson just has too much value projection for any TE not named Graham/Gronk/Hernandez (whom I think will be better than Gronk this year) so unless you are getting one of them I would stand pat!

Good Luck m8!
