Doug Martin or...Antonio Brown?

Postby galacticat » Sat Sep 01, 2012 10:36 am

I have to choose between Doug Martin and Antonio Brown for my flex spot. Leaning towards Martin, but Brown has been looking sooo good. Who's the better play week 1?

Is it PPR?

I'd go with Brown. Martin is a rookie, who knows how he'll look off the bat and what Blount will be doing. Wallace has been MIA so I think Brown gets a lot of looks.

Lend a hand?

I would go with Martin. It looks like he is going to be the workhorse for Tampa and he has a nice matchup

PPR or not, I'd go with Martin. He catches passes too.

I think PIT could get into a shootout with DEN, but PIT's o-line is horrendous and Dumervil/V. Miller are going to be teeing off on Big Ben. I could still see Brown snagging 8 / 110/ 1, but I like Martin for 100+ rushing, 30+ receiving, and maybe 2 TDs. Big projection, I know, but this is coming from a guy who grabbed Muscle Hamster at the top of the 3rd round.
12 Team ( .25 PPR / PPC, All TDs 6 pts, 10 rush / rec = 1, 25 pass = 1) (QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, TE, DST, K)

QB Brees, Luck, Wilson
RB F. Jackson, D. Martin, Tate, Gerhart
WR Lloyd, Decker, Garcon, Moore, Cobb
TE Finley, Rudolph
Matchup DST / K
