Who do you guys like for week 1? I'm afraid to start the 49's because of the threat of GB's offense, while the titans vs patriots seems a lot more friendly, especially considering Britt's suspension.
Still, I'm new to fantasy so I'd appreciate some opinions.
alright well two people telling me to start the 49'ers is good enough for me, but could anyone tell me why they prefer them to the patriots even with the GB matchup?
I agree with you - this is a tough one. SF is a defense that you'll play frequently throughout the season, but I wouldn't do so in week one. That said, I wouldn't play NE either. I'd dump NE and pick up the next best available in week one. If Buffalo is available, snatch them up. They have what I believe to be an under-rated defense, and they're playing the Jets, who can't seem to get it together on offense, in week one. Good luck!

Well most of the good defensive teams are already taken, so with my limited knowledge the pats were the best I could come up with. The remaining teams that might do ok are saints, chargers, panthers, and there is also the vikings/jaguars game
I'd bench 49ers D just this week, then I'd dump New England's D and pick up a free agent defense that has a favorable matchup against a bad offense this week. New England D was terrible last year and the Titans offense is not that bad, so I would avoid the Pats defense. Some defenses that might be available in your league right now:
Seattle (Skelton/Kolb sure to throw a pick! Cardinals offense lookin terrible) Buffalo (playing the Jets who look awful too) and also what you mentioned Vikings vs Jags sounds like a low scoring game... could pick up either of those as well.
QB - Drew Brees, Tony Romo RB - Adrian Peterson, Trent Richardson, Alfred Morris, Jacquizz Rodgers WR - Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones, Vincent Jackson, Anquan Boldin, Golden Tate TE - Heath Miller DEF - Rotating K - Justin Tucker
