Redman is hurt and Mendy won't play as all in September. Dwyer is not bad by any means, but consider this:
Brown averaged 3.2 yards per carry last seaon
Brown is 30 years of age
Brown will start week 1, but only because Matthews is hurt
All in all, Dwyer could actually prove to be not only a good back, but a solid keeper.
Just my opinion.

I definitely do like Dwyer in the long run as a sleeper but if you need a stopgap for week 1 I think Brown can get it done against what should be a below average OAK rush defense. I'd actually have no problem flexing him even though he's clearly lost a step.

I like Dwyer better, he has a higher ceiling. You gotta ask yourself, when was the last time Ronnie Brown impressed you?
