Two trade options, which one?? WHIR

Postby crockies99 » Sun Sep 02, 2012 1:03 pm

So I have two trade offers to consider and I don't know which one is better to do. Hoping you all can help!

First one:

I trade Owen Daniels and Ryan Williams for Tony Gonzalez.

-I have Keller on the bench. Is Tony an upgrade over Owen or can Owen do just as good, especially without Freesen there?

Second one:

I trade Giants defense and Ryan Williams for Texans defense.

-Is this better to upgrade at defense then to go for Tony Gonzalez over Owen Daniels?

Leave a link and I will look at yours too! Thanks!

Both trades are basically giving up Ryan Williams for a marginal upgrade at TE or D. I would sit pat, and see if Ryan Williams becomes the guy in AZ. There is too much upside there to be giving up for a marginal upgrade. I would sit tight, see how the season starts and then try to deal from a position of strength.

thanks for the help.

I would absolutely not do trade #2. You're giving up a RB with some potential upside for a possible upgrade at D. I don't even think it's a lock that it would be an upgrade at D. As for trade #1, you're probably getting a small upgrade in Tony G. This really comes down to whether or not Williams beats out Wells in AZ. That's hard to predict but there's a lot of upside if he does so I'd probably wait.

Would you mind taking a look at mine: http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=517307? Thanks!
