Who to trade?!! First Draft Ever

Postby BoogieCuzions » Tue Sep 04, 2012 11:24 am

First draft ever in a 10 man PPR league. I know my QB position is very weak (some players I counted on falling got drafted 2-3 rounds earlier than ADP and where I would have projected them at.) In addition I had the 1st pick in a 10 man snake draft.

Draft Selections by Round
1. Ray Rice (RB)
2. Julio Jones (WR)
3. Victor Cruz (WR)
4. Darren Sproles (RB)
5. Mike Wallace (WR)
6. Brandon Lloyd (WR)
7. Demaryius Thomas (WR)
8. Peyton Hillis (RB)
9. C.J. Spiller (RB)
10. Jay Cutler (QB)
11. Roy Helu (RB)
12. Josh Freeman (QB)
13. Brent Celek (TE)
14. Mark Ingram (RB) <-- Cut and added Arizona Defense for Week 1 Matchups
15. Matt Bryant (K) <-- Cut/Added Jason Hanson

*I misjudged the end and thought I had 1 more round*

I like Cutler's matchup Week 1 and will start him. I'm hoping some of my WR and RB will have monster week 1 performances, in which I can flip them for another solid QB.

Any suggestions on who would be the most movable assets on my team?

Week 1 Lineup
QB: Jay Cutler
RB: Ray Rice, Darren Sproles
WR: Julio Jones, Victor Cruz
TE: Brent Celek
FLEX: Brandon Lloyd
K: Jason Hanson
DEF: Arizona

Foster fell to 3 in my league lol.

I felt I would be fine with either decision. However, I feel Foster will have slightly more competition for touches than Rice.

Yea i'm slightly wary of the ben tate/foster dynamic that could turn into a 50/50 split any day they're both very good. as for movable assets you've got some good depth which should net you something of value.

Ideas if you get lucky and Loyd has a good game I would jump on that value and move him right away I'm personally not really a fan of too many pats players (besides brady) the pats just take advantage of match ups so much that you end up with a boom or bust player and personally i value consistancy. Not to mention how many mouths they have to feed there.

If you were to package Lloyd with a running back you should be able to get a decent qb sproles specifically has a ton of value in an ppr league so you may be able to get something good with them. the problem is the top 5 qbs are pretty far above the rest of the crowd, and will be difficult to get from their owners. The 6-10 aren't too far ahead of what you have now so it's going to be difficult to find a trade that's worth it for you. This early in the season there's no such thing as too much depth. If you wait for an injury a very desperate team may come to you later that will put you in a great spot for a good value trade.
QB Brady
RB Martin, Sproles, Tate, Bradshaw
WR A Boldin, J Nelson, Welker, Hartline, Amendola, M Wallace
TE M Bennent
Kicker Hartley
Def Den
