RB/WR Dilemma. Gerhart, Green-Ellis, Brandon Lloyd

Postby eagle0588 » Tue Sep 04, 2012 1:04 pm

My League starts 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE), standard scoring league.

I have some tough matchups at RB: I am for sure starting Willis McGahee (vs Pit :-t ) and my other RB the Law firm BenJarvis Green-Ellis is against Baltimore. I was thinking of benching Green-Ellis and starting Toby Gerhart (against Jacksonville, which should be a friendly matchup and AP will most likely get a few touches only since he's a game time decision, reports have Gerhart getting the lion's share of the touches).

my starting WR will be steve smith (car), andre johnson, and maclin. I also want to start Brandon lloyd but obviously have no slots for him. Would you start lloyd over any of these guys? Maybe steve smith since he's coming off that foot infection?

WHIR. you're help is appreciated ;-D ;-D ;-D

QB: ben roethlisberger
RB: benjarvis green-ellis, willis mcgahee, MJD, Toby Gerhart, Jacquizz Rodgers
WR: Steve Smith (Car), Andre Johnson, Jeremy Maclin, Brandon Lloyd, Lance Moore, Mike Williams, Greg Little
TE: Jermaine Gresham
Def: Giants
K: Jason Hanson

Thanks for the help with mine. I would much rather start Lloyd than Smith at least in week one. Patriots should come out blazing and Lloyd will benefit. You made the right choice on RB...start Toby. He will produce.

I will start Toby here - he should be a solid start for you. I'm gonna say wait on starting lloyd until more comes out about Steve Smith.

Thanks for the help on mine.

I would go with Gerhart. Like you said, even if Peterson plays it will be in a limited role. Gerhart should still receive the bulk of the load.

At WR I would stick with the way you have it. Smith, Johnson, and Maclin. i think Smith's foot will be fine and he should put up good numbers against the Bucs. I would wait on Lloyd to see how often Brady looks his direction. i think Welker, Gronk, and Hernandez will receive the most attention from Brady.
