I had the 10th pick in a 10 team league. Decided to take the plunge on AP/MJD with the 10th/11th.
Format 1QB, 3WR, 2RB, WR/RB Flex, TE, K, DEF
Need to play 3 of the following RBs: Willis McGahee (vs PIT), Kevin Smith (vs StL), Donald Brown (@Chi), Alfred Morris (@NO) and Jonathan Dwyer (@Den).
I am leaning Kevin Smith, Alfred Morris and Jonathan Dwyer for week 1.
Most definitely start kevin smith. anyone against a rams defense is a go. start willis mcgahee and donald brown. both are starting backs. dwyer and morris are not starting. morris is third string. new depth chart for the redskins has royster starting above helu then morris. dwyer would be a good substitution for donald brown if he is announced as the starter over an injured isaac redman.
Wow. MJD and AP at 10 and 11. Very high imo. but what is done is done. If indications are that either of these guys start, then start them. They are veterans and can get it going quickly. Unfortunately, you have two RBs with high miles.
For the rest in this order
K Smith - should get touches and nice match up A Morris Dwyer D Brown McGahee
I'd go with Kevin Smith, Donald Brown and McGahee. Nobody else, Morris included, is guaranteed the same number of touches that these guys are going to get. You can't bet on a Shanahan back in week 1, especially when he's listed as 3rd on today's depth chart release. For better or worse, I keep it simple for week 1.
Well, I guess I made the right choice. I played Kevin Smith, Alfred Morris and Dwyer and won Week 1.
Goes to show you that matchups mean everything. Happy AP and MJD are back though, my team is now officially stacked.
Sleepers for wk 2:
WR: Rod Streater @ MIA(Jacoby Ford is having surgery on his foot) Sidney Rice vs. DAL (look for Pete Carroll to open up offense vs Cowboys at home)
TE: Scott Chandler vs. KC (David Nelson done for season) Greg Olsen vs. NO (Cam will need to throw)
RB: Mark Ingram @ CAR (CAR def front weaker than WAS and expect Brees to come back with a vengeance wk 2) Curtis Brinkley vs. TEN (Mathews could be on snap count and Brinkley handled passing downs well wk 1)
QB: Jay Cutler WR: Brandon Marshall WR: Hakeem Nicks WR: Dez Bryant RB: Adrian Peterson RB: Maurice Jones-Drew TE: Greg Olsen RB/WR: Kevin Smith K: Matt Bryant DEF: Seattle
B: Russell Wilson, QB B: Kenny Britt, WR B: Willis McGahee, RB B: Donald Brown, RB B: Alfred Morris, RB B: Jonathan Dwyer, RB B: Rashard Mendenhall, RB B: Cincinatti Defense
You can tell I was greatly concerned about AP and MJD during the draft.
Currently attempting to trade Donald Brown and Alfred Morris for Antonio Gates. What do you guys think of the proposed trade?
