TRADE: David Wilson for Peyton Hillis? WHIR Leave Link

Postby war106 » Wed Sep 05, 2012 8:12 am

I was just offered Petyon Hillis for David Wilson. Should I do it? The upside of Wilson is through the roof, but do I just need starting running backs? Plus, I’m banking on Mikel Leshoure being the starter come week 3 and Ryan Matthews coming back.

12 team, TOTAL POINTS .5 PPR league not H2H

Here’s my team:

QB: Drew Brees (Russel Wilson, Tim Tebow)

WR: Jordy Nelson (We start 3)
Demaryius Thomas
Roddy White
Torrey Smith

RB: Ryan Matthews
Mark Ingram
Jacquizz Rodgers
David Wilson
Mikel Leshoure
Jonathan Dwyer
Robert Turbin

TE: Aaron Hernandez
Greg Olsen

2 Flex Spots

W/R Flex
W/T Flex

This is a tough call and it is very team dependent. Because you are in need of consistent carries I would be inclined to do it. You have a few guys already on your roster that are similar in upside, i.e. Rodgers, Dwyer, and Turbin. But out of the gate Hillis would start for you and it is hard to pass that up.

I would do it. Don't expect much from leshoure. I realize the upside of Wilson, but at this point you need a starter. Cant have five guys on your bench waiting for injuries lol.

Sorry I'm a bit confused on how many slots you start for each position... Is it 3 WR and 2 Flex W/R and W/T? Meaning you only have 1 slot to start a RB or do you have any dedicated RB slots?

If only 1 slot then I think you should have went with more WR depth in the draft rather than all of the RBs. To be honest I would rather have Wilson of the two but if you're in dire need for a RB starter then go with Hillis.
