Was offered this trade. It seems like a good deal, but I am wondering what people think on the loss of depth. 2 running back league wit ha flex, so at this point am starting three running backs which is a huge advantage given how shallow running back is. Martin protects that depth (gives me some margin for error).
Fitzgerald is an obvious upgrade but I dont think my receivers are that bad. Really believe in Garcon and Smith this season and a healthy Austin is a legitimate number 2.
But what do you think?
I GIVE - D. Martin, M. Austin I GET - Fitz, Ridley
Thoughts?
My roster: (10 team keeper league, keeper 4, standard scoring) QB - Vick, RG3, Luck RB - McCoy, Forte, Murray, Martin, Hunter WR - Marshall, Austin, Torrey Smith, Garcon TE - F. Davis, Fleener
I think I would do it. I know you might lose in the value aspect. However its all abouts getting the most points each week. Bench scoring sucks. Does nothing. Fitz upgrade over Austin is humongous Imo. Austin will probe miss some games.
Martin and ridley. Sure right now it appears Martin is the more value. But hes a backup for you. Who knows ridley could end up being better than Martin. Hes for sure on the better team, and has looked good when given the chance.
I would just bank on Austin getting hurt before your rbs. And ridley will be fine if worst comes to worst.

If it were me I would stand pat on this. I personally hate NE's RB situation and wouldn't want a part of it. I also am less than thrilled with ARZ's QB situation. Fitz is a fantastic athlete but will not be elite without better QB production.
I think Martin gives you safety @ RB and provides a ton of upside. Also based upon where you drafted him he could potentially provide great keeper value going into next year. I also am an Austin believer and am confident he'll get past his Hammy issues and be a top 15 WR this year.

I would definitely do this. You will have a great group of starters and very capable back ups and flex players. Your core group will have more value after the trade, as stated.
I like the deal for you. The upgrade at WR is definitely worth the downgrade at RB. I think that Ridley has great upside as your RB4 and could end up better than Martin anyway.
Looking at his team, I'd actually try a counter of Julio/Ridley for Martin/Austin but leave the Fitz deal on the table in case he doesn't take it. I know most people will have Fitz > Julio, but I'm going all in with Julio this year.
