I would go with Austin and Garcon. I think Austin and Lloyd are toss-ups. Both are high risk/reward for this week (eg. Austin's hammy and unknowns about % of offense focusing on Llyod). Personally, I would choose Austin over Lloyd because he's playing on the opening day of the season. The game is always more fun when one of my players is in it. Since Austin neither better nor worse than Lloyd in my book, I would be okay with making the decision based on some non-statistical related factor.

I'd say it'd be nearly impossible to start three Pats, you also have to take into consideration Gronk or Hernandez are likely TD vultures. However, in PPR Welker is the obvious start, like you said. After that, I would go with Austin. All reports say he's been fine in practice all week. With Witten out or limited, Austin and Bryant should have big nights. Finally, I would go with Thomas. I do not like RGII and his first start coming on the road in NO. However, I think DEN at home should play well, and Thomas has tremendous upside.

Thanks for the help with mine.
From all preseason media reports, Jay Cutler is going straight to Canton.

Too funny! I own Welker and Lloyd too and my post is choosing between the 2 of them with your same assessment of each of theit roles/value. I have Harvin too, who I consider a solid WR2 over either of the pats receivers. I never seriously considered starting both NE WR's, but in your situation that might not be such a bad idea. I had Austin last year and he is brittle and doesn't heal well. I'm a physician that does a lot of Sports Medicine and I'd be willing to bet that he's just "sprung" too hard (tight muscles with poor flexibility, which actually gives him the explosiveness to separate from DB's but makes him prone to "throwing a rod" ...to keep with the race car theme). I think Lloyd does much better than Garcon. Thomas is an unknown but Peyton has a tough match-up this week.

I see many many athletes in my office...I always tell them it is better to break something than tear/strain a ligament/muscle i.e. hammy. Horrible recovery time and honestly, do they ever regain full strength...NO. Look at Bo Jackson(retired bc hip flexors if i remember correctly)

Like everyone else, go with LLoyd/Garcon...RG3 will most likely be playing from behind and Tom Brady will be Tom Brady. I think aopponents will focus more on Gronk than last year, thus opening up Lloyd/Welker more. Should have big years.

Good luck on season

Bit late on this, but think Lloyd and Austin is the right call here... plenty to go around in NE.

I agree with the guy who said Garcon and Thomas.

I'd rule out Lloyd in a hurry - with Welker, Gronk and Hernandez, there is no chance I am trusting Lloyd until I see for myself consistently (but again, he could be great, but I think this is the riskiest guy of all you have to start this week).

Austin - He can be very good. His hamstring doesn't bother me, but Dez Bryant on the other side bothers me. And Austin has good games and bad games, rarely average games. So he is a risk.

Garcon - Pretty much everything about Austin can be said about Garcon except he is less proven. HOWEVER, from what I saw in the pre-season, RG3's favorite target seemed to be Garcon (i.e. no Dez to worry about) and RG3 seems to not be afraid of airing it out. The upside is definitely there, and I think this is a better matchup.

Thomas - I just think Thomas is going to be very good this year with Peyton.

I may be in the minority, but I am going with Garcon and Thomas. It's a risk, but so is Austin.

Miles Austin should be 100% for this game and he is going to be matched up against Michael Coe, due to Prince Amukamara's injury. Coe is a 5th year corner who has never started and has 0 career interceptions.

This game is going to be a shootout. Even with Romo running for his life, Austin should have an excellent game. Start him.

I think I would go with Austin and Lloyd. With Lloyd he gives you a deep threat in NE so good chance at the bonus.

Good luck
