Detroit D over SF D? WHIR

Postby mwburto » Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:45 pm

I know the 49'ers defense is supposed to be one of the best. But I'm worried with them going up against the Packers this week. Would you play the Detroit D at home going up against the Rams for week 1?

I'd have to drop either Greg Little or Titus Young to pick up the Detroit D. But I do have D. Bryant, A. Green, Demaryius Thomas, Stevie Johnson, and Titus Young at WR

Who are your other WR options?

If your deep, little could be expendable

If not, just roll with the Niners and hope for the best.

I agree. I wouldn't drop one of those guys in favor of a D. DET is a much better option than SF this week, but too early to drop good WR options.

Yeah but what are the odds if you drop Titus or Little that someone will scoop them up? Without knowing how deep your league is, I would give yourself every chance to win THIS week. Worry about next week next week. It's not like you're hurting for WRs.

I'd pick with DET here. You can drop Little and get him back if you really want him as a bench guy. the Packers are pretty much match-up proof. Aaron Rodgers is so good, that it doesn't matter who they are playing against, he is going to put up big numbers and lots of points and not turn the ball over. The Pack averaged 35 last year and never scored less than 14 (their lone loss), otherwise their lowest score was 24. The flipside is that the Rams are lowsy and DET can rack up the sacks and force some turnovers.

thanks for the help with mine ;-D

drop greg little for detroit d this week. i cant see packers scoring less then 24 this week(although it could happen).

detroit just has a tastier matchup and good chance at defense TD than SF, although it could also be a shootout as detroit scores fast and a lot.

drop little for detroit and look to pickup little after week 1 and then drop detroit.

I would just stick with 49ers d...you don't want to be dropping players who have potential like little or young for a defence that'll be used as a single week replacement

thanks for the help with mine
