Week 1 Flex: Ridley or DeSean Jackson

Postby Bolt-Up760 » Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:50 pm

Hello all! I'm a new member, but a long time follower of the forums. Really appreciate your insight on things.

I'm having trouble deciding whether to play Stevan Ridley or DeSean Jackson in my flex spot this week (my league is non-ppr).

I know Vareen is out, so Ridley will likely see most of the carries but I'm concerned with how he'll do versus the Titan's Defense.

DeSean Jackson, my other option, is going up against Cleveland's Defense who will be w/o the help of their star corner, Joe Haden this week, but I'm not completely sold on him. crap shoot?

Please help

I have a feeling DJax is gonna have one of his big games this week.
He's got a new deal, and is on a mission to show last year was a fluke.

No Haden means no one to shut down DJax.

I just got an update saying Haden's suspension may not begin until after wk1. If this is the case would still recommend going with DJAX?

Starting:
QB-Romo
RB-Foster*
RB-Martin
WR-Jennings
WR-Welker
W/R-DJAX*
K-Hartley
D-Eagles

Bench:
RB-Ridley
RB-Tate
RB-R. Williams
RB-Hillis
RB-Ingram
QB-Luck

ridley all the way.

djax will have hayden mirroring him all day and is an underrated shutdown corner. eagles will put up a lot of points but it will prolly be from maclin and mccoy.

ridley is also a gamble in a bellichick system and i want to see how he's used beforehand, but gotta take the gamble here with a good chance djax gets locked down.

Bigger upside is Djax, if you want to play it safe go with Ridley...I would go DJax if it was my team...

Haden will be shadowing Jackson all game long. Haden is a pretty solid shut down corner. I would go Ridley for sure.
